This session would detail how multiple existing Mass Allocation formula lines in E-Business Suite 11i General Ledger were replaced with one formula utilizing Calculation Manager in Cloud General Ledger. There were over 75 Mass Allocation formulas that required constant maintenance, due to the fact that the formulas were based on an allocation metric that was variable on three segments, not just one. By utilizing some of the advanced options offered in Calculation Manager, we designed one formula to replace all of the 11i Mass Allocation formulas, with no need for further formula maintenance. The objectives are as followed:

• Explain the allocation requirement and the Mass Allocation solution in E-Business Suite 11i General Ledger.
• Explain Oracle Cloud General Ledger and how information is stored differently.
• Explain the Calculation Manager, and how it utilizes the stored data efficiently.
• Explain the new allocation solution utilizing Calculation Manager in Oracle Cloud General Ledger.
